OTTAWA RIVER CATFISH CLASSIC RULES & REGULATIONS


BY PURCHASING YOUR TICKET TO THE OTTAWA RIVER CATFISH CLASSIC YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING RULES & REGULATIONS.   IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE RULES AND REGULATIONS STATED BELOW YOU MAY BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE EVENT.
  1. SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED STATING YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND RULES, REGULATIONS AND DISCLAIMER.  You can sign disclaimer at Weigh -In station before you start fishing or at Locations tickets are sold.
  2. MNR rules must be followed. maximum of 12 catfish per day. MNR regulations
  3. All Provincial boating / fishing rules/regulations must be adhered to.
  4. You can fish anywhere between Cheneaux Dam and Chats Falls.
  5. You can fish the tributaries up to the nearest obstacle. example (Bonnechere chutes, Arnprior Wier).
  6. You can fish anytime of day/night starting at midnight on Saturday July 24th.
  7. Fish must be alive and releasable at Weigh - In. 
  8. Weigh-In Stations are at the Bonnechere and Braeside boat launches and are open from 10am - 8pm
  9. Tickets will also be available for purchase at Weigh - In Stations
  10. You must have a ticket prior to Weigh - In
  11. You must show proof of purchase at all Weigh - In Stations so have your ticket with you at all time.
  12. You do not have to fish every day. 
  13. A boat in not required, there is great cat fishing from many shore locations.
  14. Boat launches will be busy so you may want to use other launches such as portage, Sandbay, arnprior marina etc..
  15. NO ALCOHOL WILL BE PERMITTED
  16. Final Weigh - In will be Saturday July 31st at 4PM
  17. Prizes will be given out at 6pm Saturday July 31st at THE PRIOR in Winners Circle, Arnprior.
  18. In the event of a tie, the person who weighed the catfish in first wins.
  19. Protective flotation devices must be worn while traveling at more than trolling speed.
  20. Protest must be in writing and be accompanied by a $50.00 deposit. Protest must be made prior to final standings. Deposit will refund if protest is valid.
  21. Competitors may be disqualified for violation of any of the above rules. Cheating/Fraud will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The decisions of the Judges is final.

AS AN ENTRANT TO THE OTTAWA RIVER CATFISH CLASSIC YOU, YOUR HEIRS, EXECUTORS       AND ADMINISTRATORS, WAIVE AND RELEASE ANY AND ALL RIGHTS AND CLAIMS FOR                DAMAGES YOU MAY HAVE AGAINST THE OTTAWA RIVER CATFISH CLASSIC DIRECTOR, THE        OTTAWA RIVER CATFISH CLASSIC ORGANIZING COMMITTEE, ALL SPONSORS OF THE OTTAWA  RIVER CATFISH CLASSIC, THE OTTAWA RIVER CATFISH CLASSIC OFFICIALS, THEIR                      REPRESENTATIVES, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNEES FOR ANY AND ALL INJURIES, ILLNESS,       OR DEATH THAT MAY DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY RESULT FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS     EVENT.
